Yugambeh Museum is calling for auditions for 250 Indigenous male didgeridoo players, to perform on the Gold Coast amidst the excitement of the Commonwealth Games, on Yugambeh country, next April 2018.
Through this recruitment program, Yalnun an’gabah A Place to Shine, successful applicants will get their chance to shine during the biggest event held in Australia this decade and the largest ever to be hosted on the Gold Coast, as part of the Bulabula Yarga Four Winds Didgeridoo Orchestra.
As this is also an opportunity to provide positive role models to boys as they transition into manhood, non-Indigenous fathers and male guardians of Indigenous boys aged 13 to 17 years, who can also play the didgeridoo, are welcome to audition.
